Our 5 Days Rwanda Gorillas and Lake Kivu Tour will lead you to explore the Volcanoes National Park and the Lake Kivu tucker along the border of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Mountain gorillas are the major theme of the safari, they are a social species living freely within the Volcanoes, and they are herbivores in nature feeding on plants, tree leaves roots, and fruits of the forest. The safari is blended with the amazing cruise and relaxation along Lake Kivu.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kigali International Airport.
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by our company representative who will transfer you to accommodation that has been booked, depending on your time of arrival, you will begin the safari with a Kigali city Tour. Visiting the Rwanda memorial genocide, a place built in remembrance of the lost lives during the 1994 Rwanda genocide. Returning for dinner and staying overnight at

Day 2: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Morning breakfast, then we drive to Volcanoes National Park, passing via the beautiful roll landscape of the northeastern part of Rwanda and tea plantations, arriving in a two-hour ride checking in at the lodge, having lunch, and experiencing culture at the Iby’wacu community, the queenly and kingly treat in this village is amazing, they will showcase their traditional songs, drum to their music as they keep you entertained all evening. Returning for dinner and staying overnight at
Bisate lodge.

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking and Relaxation.
Following breakfast, we will transfer to the park headquarters at Karisoke to begin the gorilla experience, trekking is done in groups of eight per Gorilla family, it is a tedious thing to do but rewarding at the end of the day, tracking takes 2 or more hours depending on how far the Gorillas have moved. There are habituated gorilla families which are present so meeting them is angelic, take pictures and interact for an hour we return for dinner and stay overnight at
Bisate lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Lake Kivu
On this day, we will transfer to Lake Kivu following breakfast, after which we will drive to western Rwanda arriving in time for a mouth-watering lunch and an afternoon boat cruise along Lake Kivu. Expect to spot many birds along the ride and the beautiful backdrop of the mountains close and distant is not to miss. Dinner and staying overnight at
Lake Kivu Serena Lodge.

Day 5: Transfer to Kigali.
We will have tea or coffee to warm up our tummies after which we transfer to the capital city of Kigali for departure back home.
